In January of 2007, Nairem Moran joined the ranks of the St. Mary's athletic staff in the capacity of sports information director.
Moran came to St. Mary's by way of Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina where she served as an intern in the sports information office for a year and a half working primarily with the volleyball and men's and women's lacrosse programs. While interning at PC, Moran earned her master's degree in Sports and Entertainment Management from the University of South Carolina in December of 2006.
Before arriving at Presbyterian, she served as the first full-time assistant SID at The College of New Jersey in Ewing for five years. Moran was the primary contact for field hockey, women's soccer, men's and women's swimming & diving, women's lacrosse, and softball, while helping with other teams as needed. She had the opportunity to be the media relations director for the 2005 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship hosted by TCNJ and which was captured by the Lions.
Moran has also held sports information positions at Middlebury College (1999-2000) in Vermont and Bryn Mawr College (2000) in Pennsylvania.
She is a member of both the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference-Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA). Serving on CoSIDA's Academic All-America® Committee since June of 2004, Moran is the college division district coordinator for men's basketball and men's track/cross country.
Moran is no stranger to the College, graduating from St. Mary's in 1999 with a B.A. in biology. She was a two-sport athlete for the Seahawks, starring for four years on the field hockey and women's lacrosse teams.
