Sarah Tipsword begins her fourth year on the St. Mary's athletic training staff as an assistant trainer.  Tipsword arrived on campus in August of 2006 following the completion of her Master's of Science in athletic training from California University of Pennsylvania.

During her one-year stint in California, Pa., she was assigned to the Burgettstown School District in charge of 18 sports that included volleyball, football, basketball, wrestling, softball, baseball, and track.  Tipsword worked with all levels as she covered seventh/eighth graders, junior varsity and varsity squads.

A graduate of Frostburg State University, Tipsword earned her bachelor in athletic training in December of 2004.  As a student at Frostburg, she was assigned to work with football, men's and women's basketball, women's lacrosse and softball.

Tipsword holds membership in the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and currently resides in Mechanicsville.
