Josh Hunter is beginning his first encounter with field hockey as an assistant coach for the 2009 season.

A 2002 graduate of St. Mary's, Hunter was a four-year letterwinner for the Seahawk men's soccer program.  He saw action in 35 games, notching three goals and an assist during his career.

Hunter received a B.S. from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science in 2006 then earned his Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from the same school in 2008.  He will complete the doctoral program in health sciences from Nova Southeastern University in December 2010.

A Bangor, Maine native, Hunter is currently a certified Physician Assistant for the Department of Corrections in Washington, D.C.
