Fredericksburg, Va. – Sophomore goalkeeper Patrick Paolini (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard) picks up the first Capital Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week award of the 2017 season for the week of September 5. This is Paolini's first conference weekly honor of his career.

He claimed CAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades after helping the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's soccer team to their first win of the season.

Paolini collected a career-best four saves in recording his first career solo shutout as the Seahawks posted a 2-0 victory over Capital University on September 2 at the Elmer Lord Memorial Classic hosted by Salisbury University.
