After a solid 12-5 campaign in 2009, Kara Reber returns for her second season at the helm of the Seahawk women's lacrosse program.  Reber assumed her duties on August 25, 2008. 

Along with leading St. Mary's to a 10+ win season, she guided the Seahawks to a 6-1 record in conference play and the No. 2 seed in the CAC tournament.  Reber also mentored one All-American, four all-region selections, five All-CAC picks and the 2009 CAC Player of the Year.

Active within her coaching organization, she sits on the following Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) committees: Ethics Committee, Nominating Committee, and All-America Committee.

The Pittsford, N.Y. native came to St. Mary's after five successful years at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa., where she guided the Lady Warriors to a 47-34 record.  In June of 2008, she coached the South team to a 10-6 victory in the North/South All-Star game.  Under Reber's tutelage, Lycoming earned the 2008 IWLCA Community Service Award and was named an IWLCA Academic Squad. 

She tallied a mark of 28-8 between 2006 and 2007 as Reber guided Lycoming to back-to-back 14-4 campaigns.  In 2006, the Lady Warriors advanced to the Middle Atlantic Conference Championship game as Lycoming made appearances in the MAC semifinals during her last two seasons.

Reber earned 2006 MAC Coach of the Year honors after leading the Lady Warriors to a school record 14 wins and an appearance in the MAC title contest along with mentoring the conference rookie-of-the-year.  While at Lycoming, she also had a player earn a pair of All-America citations and coached 10 all-region selections as well as 12 All-MAC picks.

Reber arrived at Lycoming after coaching soccer, basketball, and lacrosse at Newark HS in New York.

A 1999 graduate of Bowling Green State University, she played both soccer and ice hockey while earning a bachelor's degree in sports management.  Reber went on to attend the State University of New York at Brockport where she earned a second bachelor's in physical education in May of 2001.

Reber is married to Matthew, who is a math teacher and the head varsisty boys' soccer coach at Leonardtown HS in Leonardtown.  The couple resides in Lexington Park with their daughter, Kylie.
