St. Mary's Women's Tennis Drops Match against Division I Longwood

Hampden-Sydney, Va. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's tennis team (1-4) dropped a non-conference neutral site matchup with Division I Longwood University (2-9), 7-0.

  • In doubles action, St. Mary's found it difficult to take a game from the Lancers as all three Seahawk tandems were shut out, 6-0.


  • The Seahawks won only seven games as all six singles players suffered straight-set setbacks.
  • Junior captain Chelsea English (Clarksville, Md./River Hill) would claim four games in her No. 5 singles matchup with Longwood's Anna Pelak but dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision.
