    St. Mary’s College of Maryland Director of Athletics & Recreation Scott Devine announced on Tuesday (Mar. 17) the naming of Matt Howerton as Interim Head Coach of the women’s basketball team for the Seahawks.

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s basketball team earned one spot on the All-Capital Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Team. Gina Seifert was selected to the Second Team in back-to-back years.

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s basketball team (3-22, 0-11) fell this evening to York College in the first round of the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament. The Spartans took the win with a final score of 79-58.
