  • Women's Lacrosse Against Albright Changed to Tomorrow Night

    In an effort to play a game before St. Mary's College athletic programs are suspended from March 16 - Apri 3, the Seahawk women's lacrosse team has bumped up their game against Albright to tomorrow (Mar. 13) night at 7:00 p.m. The game will still take place at the US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland.
  • Women’s Lacrosse Earns a Solid Victory at Home with a Dominant, Breakaway Second Half Against Haverford

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s lacrosse team (5-2) hosted Haverford College (3-2) on Wednesday (Mar. 11) afternoon in non-conference action. The Seahawks used a dominant second half to defeat the Fords 16-10.

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s lacrosse team (4-2) traveled to Shenandoah University to take on the Hornets (5-0) on Saturday (Mar. 7) afternoon in non-conference action. The Seahawks were edged by the Hornets 14-12 for their second loss of the season.

    The Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) has announced its weekly awards following the third week of the 2020 women's lacrosse season. St. Mary's College sophomore defender Stephanie Heffron claimed CAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
  • Women’s Lacrosse Defeats Dickinson in Double-Overtime Thriller

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s lacrosse team (4-1) traveled to the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame to take on the Dickinson College Red Devils (2-2) in non-conference action. The Seahawks won in thrilling fashion, defeating Dickinson 11-10 in double-overtime. Kate Bartholomew tallied the game-winning goal.
  • Women’s Lacrosse Takes a Hard-Fought Loss in ‘Play Like Jamie Game’

    On the annual ‘Play Like Jamie game, the St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s lacrosse team (3-1) used Jamie’s memory to help inspire them throughout it. And they would need that inspiration, since this game was an absolute battle. Both teams fought hard and the lead constantly changed, but with 10 minutes left, Catholic scored a goal to put them up by two. And unfortunately, that was the last goal scored. St. Mary’s College couldn’t respond quickly enough to cut into that deficit, so they took their first loss of the season by a final score of 8-6.

    The Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) has announced its weekly awards following the second week of the 2020 women's lacrosse season. St. Mary's College senior Kate Bartholomew earned CAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades for the first time this season.
  • Women’s Lacrosse Records Third Consecutive Victory with Win Over McDaniel

    For the second time this season, the St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s lacrosse team (3-0) went to enemy territory and emphatically took care of business. When the clock hit zero, the Seahawks got to celebrate a third straight convincing victory, this time defeating McDaniel College (0-1) 16-5.
  • Women’s Lacrosse Dominates Randolph-Macon in Home Opener
    February 19, 2020
    St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s lacrosse (2-0) electrified the St. Mary’s College faithful in their home opener by crushing Randolph-Macon College (1-1) 17-4 on Wednesday (Feb. 19) evening. While the game started off close with each team trading two goals, the Seahawks suddenly got blisteringly hot twelve minutes in as they scored thirteen straight unanswered goals. By the time Randolph-Macon could finally respond, it was much too late. With this thirteen point victory, the Seahawks are now riding a tsunami of positive momentum for this season.
  • Women's Lacrosse Begins Season With A Bang Against Meredith

    St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s lacrosse (1-0) began the season white-hot with a commanding 13-5 victory against Meredith College (0-1). The Seahawks traveled to Raleigh with purpose and resilience as they shook off giving up the first goal to rattle off six straight in a dominating response. Once the Seahawks had momentum, they took firm control of the game until the clock hit zero to start off the season with a wave of positive momentum.

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s basketball team was picked fourth in the 2020 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Women’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Poll, the league announced today (Feb. 4).
